KSG Agro has increased the productivity of early grain crops

Finalizing 2020 harvesting campaign, KSG Agro has increased the yield of early grain crops.
According to the results of the 2020 harvesting campaign, KSG Agro agricultural holding’s farms increased the yield of early grain crops (wheat, barley and rapeseed) compared to the same indicators in 2019.
The yield of wheat and barley in 2020, compared to 2019, increased by 7% and 48%, respectively – from 30.4 c / ha to 32.5 c / ha and from 28 c / ha to 41.4 c / ha, and the yield of rapeseed increased by 52% – from 11 c / ha to 16.7 c / ha.
“The efficiency of the sown area has increased due to the timely and sufficient amount of applied mineral fertilizers. With their help, soil nutrition has improved, – comments Sergiy Kasianov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at KSG Agro, – The quality of the seed also plays an important role. In our holding, we try to grow new varieties of grain every year. So last year 8 new varieties of wheat were tested. Studying them, we chose the best ones in terms of yield. This year our farms have worked with two new varieties. The main thing for us is to reduce moisture loss. Moreover, there was practically no snow last winter. But we are always looking for a golden mean, we study the fields in order to make the best use of their potential and get higher yields”.
