KSG Agro launched two new biofuel boiler houses in schools of the Solonyansky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region

KSG Agro launched two modernized boiler houses operating on biofuel – fuel pellets – in schools in the villages of Trituznoye and Nadezhdovka in the Solonyansky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region. This was reported by the press service of the Holding.

Within the program of boiler-house modernization for rural schools in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, KSG Agro Agri-holding completed the construction and launched two modernized boiler houses operating on biofuel – fuel pellets – in schools in the villages of Trituznoye and Nadezhdovka in the Solonyansky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region. Before modernization, the school boiler houses operated on natural gas or coal using technically and morally obsolete equipment that needed operational replacement. The problem was solved thanks to the investment from KSG Agro in the amount of 1.5 million UAH into two new boiler houses for schools in the Solonyansky district, with a total capacity of 1 MW. Such re-equipment will allow local councils, in which the schools are located, to save up to 40% of the funds paid for heat.
“Together with the territorial communities, we are implementing a program aimed at modernizing boiler houses of rural schools in the Dnepropetrovsk Region to switch from heating with expensive gas or coal to fuel pellets,” says Sergei Kasyanov, Chairman of KSG Agro’s Board of Directors. “This program is being implemented at the expense of the holding’s investments without engaging funds from the state budget. As a result of its implementation, budget savings for each facility will amount up to 40%.”
As announced earlier, the agri-holding announced the launch of five new biofuel boiler houses in rural schools in the Dnepropetrovsk region prior to the beginning of the heating season. In addition to schools’ boiler houses in the villages of Trituznoye and Nadezhdovka in the Solonyansky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region, a boiler room for a canteen in a Novopokrovskaya school was put into operation in early October. Moreover, two more boiler houses will start functioning in the schools of Tomakovskiy district of the Dnepropetrovsk region before the start of the heating season.
At present, the total amount of heat generation by KSG Agro is 5.25 MW, which is 25% more than in the previous heating season.
It is planned that a new workshop in Novopokrovka will produce fuel for all five boiler houses, to be put into operation also before the heating season. The pellet line of the workshop has already been assembled and is currently being tested. The planned capacity is 2,400 tons of fuel pellets per year. The modern OGM 1500 granulation line will be used as the equipment here.
